About

The two architects are based in Hamburg & Zürich, driven by a shared passion for creating poetic and minimalist spaces. Their work is rooted in a deep connection to the context of each project, considering elements such as light, views, access, materials, climate, social aspects, environmental impact and structural beauty. They aim to generate ideas, that distill the complexity and diversity of their context to the essential — environments that feel effortless, embodying simplicity and the poetry of natural beauty. From initial concept development to details, NNK.atelier focuses on clarity and precision, exploring how form, function, and beauty seamlessly integrate. The approach spans the entire design process—from sketching the first idea to finalizing every detail, including mechanical solutions and structural elements that reflect the core vision of the project. The two sisters are particularly fascinated by how these details evolve naturally from the overall concept. NNK.atelier‘s  work extends beyond architecture, drawing inspiration from music, textures, and the acoustics of space. By merging spatial and sound compositions, we design environments that invite interaction and resonate emotionally with those who experience them.
